Well .... I am so far behind in getting ready to go to New Mexico. So many deadlines, painting, publicity stuff, packing, cleaning, trips to Austin, picking up art .... arghh.
But the solution arrived in the form of my horoscope today by Holiday Mathis. In case the link disappears, I'm posting it here. Thank you, Holiday Mathis! Maggie and Leslie, eat your hearts out. Or are you a Virgo, Maggie? Hmmmm.
"VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You can sustain a level of high production by doing absolutely nothing now. You nestle into your own silent power, readying yourself for a time in the near future when you'll fly from this situation."
I'm sitting back, putting up the feet, and waiting....... :) How about that for a plan?
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

- I Grew up in a small town , Magdalena, New Mexico. I enjoy art and the pleasure other people get from my work. I always donate some of my sales and art to charities, especially for children. That started in Bolivia with Para los NiƱos. "I cannot pretend to feel impartial about colors. I rejoice with the brilliant ones and am genuinely sorry for the poor browns." -- Winston Churchill

Funny lady. :)
It sure sounds good, doesn't it? The old saying about, "If it sounds too good to be true ........ "
Oh well,
Mom
Grab some Blue Bell ice cream, and yer set!
Don't think it's gonna work unless you have a Samantha nose.
Leslie, I have some low fat homemade vanilla flavor, will that work as well as the old chocolate? Blue Bell can fix almost anything. (For those of you that haven't read Leslie's blog about procrastination, check her link below..chocolate Blue Bell ice cream is part of her solution)
Jeanne, Ah, shucks. The bubble burst and I do not have that magic nose. It's almost midnight and my work ain't done yet. :( Maybe tomorrow.
Jo
I just dropped by your blog for the first time via Kris Battles blog. I really like your art work and the story about your father. It seems we have a few things in common. I am a Texan having lived all over Texas from McAllen to Vernon and from Dallas to Lubbock. I have friends in Bastrop. I have also lived in NM - further north in the Taos, Questa, Red River area. I am an artist. As for porcrastinting we have lots in common there. I always say that I just work better under pressure:)
Hi Bag Blog,
Thanks for stopping by. I went over to see your blog and you have some great stories and art there. I have only checked the tip of the iceberg and will enjoy reading more. Your granddaughter sounds great.
Later,
Jo
