Character in Watercolor

My day out today took me to Smithville, Texas.  It's about 20 miles from home.  I was shopping for a new chair with ottoman for me and a dining table.  Both of these items are in pretty sad shape.  There is a nice furniture store there.  I found a nice small recliner, but I really want a chair with ottoman.  If I have a recliner I lose my sketching table!  I found a table at an antique store.  I have to measure to see if we can put it in the Expedition.  It is rectangle which doesn't fit as well in the dining area but it would work.  In good shape, so I will think about it.

I sketched while I had lunch at the Quinto Patio.  I had a puffy taco.  I had never tried one of those.  It was very good.  There was a statue on the counter about 3 feet tall so that fit the item "character" on the Hunt.

Number 3 character - statue in the Ohuhu sketchbook with Ohuhu pen and watercolors.  The paper is good for water media so I ordered another one yesterday as this is about full.

I didn't take any photos today.  I had hoped to sketch some outdoor Christmas decorations or something but the time got away from me with the shopping and errand to the pharmacy.  Smithville put us ginger bread men all over town.  Most are about 6 feet tall.  There is a huge one by the Chamber of Commerce with a bunch of the smaller ones all around.  They are wooden and painted in many different ways.  One of these days........
