Yay, I got out and about for Art!! It is always good for my heART.
I planned to sketch with the Bastrop Artscape bunch down by Neighbor's Restuarant. We were having classes. Lucy Todd and I gave out sketchbooks, pencils, erasers and sharpeners. There were about 25 that signed in the book and a few more that signed up before and forgot to sign in at the table.
The clay/pottery shop next door was hving folks paint on Halloween items. It was fun to have more artists and would be artists next to us. It made for a colorful day.
Gene and I went about 9. He stayed in the comfort of the car in the shade and napped a bit while we set up our tables, etc. Joanna came about 10 and visited and helped. She and Gene went home about 11.
I sketched on one sketch during my time, sharing info on the different pens I use and shading and texture, etc.
Lucy gave a talk at the beginning of each hour and shared her knowledge about sketching. We helped with encouraging painting things from life, how to focus, look and make your marks. We helped with shading, hatching and form. We were available to answering questions.
My sketch evolved through several pens and questions and ended up a bit scattered. That happens when you are showing "how to" and not actually concentrating on sketching. I'm using the sketch for the current Hunt.
