The Hunt has the item, whistle, on it. I don't have any whistles. These little flutes or whatever they are called are from Bolivia and/or Peru. They went through the fire so have lost their gloss and colors. They are just dirt color now. The black on the turtle is gunk melted on to it. From this angle it looks a little like a hat.

Number 2 whistle
I mentioned that we haven't had many wildflowers this year. We had just a few by the mailbox and some were mowed. I found this little bunch at the end of the slab out back. The mowers went around them when I mentioned they had mowed most of them. Nice guys.....
Also I saw a "new to me" sculpture at Loop 150 and HWY 95 near Buc-ee's. I can't believe it has been there a long time, but I didn't notice them putting it in either. Hmmmm. Bastrop does have a month where they have bird art and watches. They paint birds on the windows downtown and have paintings nd sculptures at the Lost Pines Art Center and other locations. Hmmm.
I took the photo while we were stopped at the light. I hope to look at it more closely sometime.

I have a turtle flute like that. I'll have to find it to sketch it for the hunt too. The sculpture looks interesting.
