I sketched at my computer desk tonight. Guilty sketching as I didn't sketch on the weekend.

Today we didn't do much. It is very cold. They have predicted snow but no sign yet. Maybe about 3:00 a.m. We will see if we have to get up and if we do I will look. It won't last for sure. It is 30º F and wet outside.
We sat around. Gene rode the stationary bike and I did puzzles. We watched a lot of the inauguration. I love the pageantry and patriotism. It is nice to see all the presidents together and the crowds. I can't believe how many people were waiting outside for a glimpse of the presidents. I get weepy for the Star Spangled Banner and America the Beautiful. The military review was a highlight for me. I'm so thankful to live in the United States of America and for the military that keeps us free. All happening on Martin Luther King Day and some of the hostages were released in Israel. Wonderful.
On the weekend we had company, bag blog and spouse. Lou and Toby came down and spent the night. We had a great time but no painting or other art work. They brought us some beautiful New Mexico designed mugs they made. I won't take a photo until I paint them. We had a great time and it was so good to be with friends. Hope we can do that more often. Lou and I are like family when we get together it is like we haven't been apart, we just pick up where we left off. Such great folks!
