I did another quick sketch on the iPhone with Brushes. It is fun, remember this is just a sketch. I like the colors and the "paint brush" look it has. I decided that I should post it on Jeanette's Apple Challenge even if it is a sketch. I have posted on her challenge already with my acrylic apples, Ivy's Apples.
This is so loud you can hear it before you see it. Hmmm.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Jo: Your talent shows even on the phone, you are a fine artist.
What fun Jo, I have another pal who does this with her IPhone, what a world we live in.
This is a good attempt and happy and colorful. I have seen my friend doing sketches, it takes practice, but she also loves it.
Keep on having fun, and I actually like the colors.Bright is beautiful!
Rae
Very cheerful Jo! Watching you has made me want to pull out my Nintendo DS and get sketching again! :D
I am a bit jealous of your iphone talent.
fishing guy, you are so nice. Thanks. :)
Rae, technology is amazing. The phone is better than me, I can't tell where I'm touching it, need a stylus! Thanks so much.
Rose, I hope you try it. I think I can do well with practice. I've only done 3 sketches. Gene sort of hogs his phone .. I can't imagine why. Ha. Thanks.
Bag Blog, do you suppose it has to do with my love of talking, what could be better? Talking and sketching ... love it!
I like the apple sketch. I downloaded the Brushes app a few days ago but I have yet to do anything with it.
Rick, thanks. I will get to use the phone more when we get home to TX next week. I hope not to get addicted. Ha. Handy to carry without all the paint, brushes, etc.
Jo, this is fantastic and fun! I can barely text and you are painting! Love it!
Have a safe and enjoyable trip home!
Quite amazing how you can create something like this on an iPhone. I love the strong contrasts and feeling of light in it.
How cool is that? You will never be bored again as long as you have your phone, right?
Rosemary, thank you. Fantastic is right. So easy and so portable!
Jeanette, thanks. Technology is out of sight. I cannot imagine doing this.
Regina, it is a WOW! for sure. Better than games on the iPhone. The only place we didn't have internet so far was in Magdalena, the old hometown and in the high mountains.
I also downloaded Brushes....to my I-pod Touch. Haven't messed with it much yet, but sure do love yours!
Hi Nancy, I hadn't remembered about the iPod using it, too. Very neat. There is another program called Sketchbook that I am looking at too. They have a free one and a $2.99 one. Of course the phone is Gene's. I have a contract on Sprint for a while. Sigh.... Maybe for our summer trip next year.
