Marcus has been doing art since he could hold a crayon. He can paint, draw and many other techniques but seems to be working with glass at the moment. If you are in the area check out the Art On the Bridge on Saturday, October 13, and get acquainted with Markie and buy some jewelry. There are many artists working in a variety of media and producing original art work. A big day in Bastrop with arts and crafts. You can read about it on the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild web page.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

I love it when kids excel at art. Many of my students are amazing and I love working with them. My daughter (who is no longer a kid) is suppose to be featured as "artist of the month" by The Duncan Banner. When it comes out, I will post it.
Bag Blog, Yes kids and art are a great mixture. Congrats on the artist of the month for your daughter, too.
Thanks,
Jo
Way to Go, Mark!! I hope you make a bunch of money at the Bridge show!
Thanks for posting this Jo. Lea and Mark are great artist people that deserve the props!
Yes, it is almost October, isn't it?
Leslie, Thanks for the nice words for Markie. I talked to Lea today and told her to look here.
The time is flying....We have been in NM over 2 months. Wow.
Later,
Jo
Hi Jo-Enjoyed reading your blog. You are certainly staying busy and productive. I'm taking a week off beginning in the morning (to Branson) then I'll be home joining Mark on the bridge. I'm sharing a booth with Cynthia and hanging at the Chamber Oct/Nov. Hope to see you around real soon.
Melba Mabry
Melba, Nice to see and hear from you. Hope Branson is fun and that you have a great day on the Bridge!
See you in Nov. Will see your exhibit at the Chamber.
Jo
