The dining table was my desk for sketching today. In the big Conda sketchbook with a Micron 02 that is on its last leg. I could make soft lines as the ink and nib are giving out. The piece of furniture is sort of a buffet. The top opens to set hot dishes on, not to keep them warm. Below I keep dishes and kitchen stuff I don't use often. In the drawers I have playing cards, candles, matches and various junk drawer items. Also some extra serving pieces and steak knives are kept there.
Number 3 furniture
We had about a 10 minute sprinkle this morning. Guess is just enough to make the grass grow so the mowers will have to come. Otherwise just enough to cool it off for an hour or so. We expect 100º plus for the next week again.

Fun to see your sketch of the buffet...and know what is inside too. I'm glad you had a little bit of rain. We've had some really strong storms in the last week with a lot of thunder, some lightning, and a fair amount of rain. Luckily it has been later in the day so I've still been able to get out and sketch in the mornings and then go do my exercise in the pool before the thunder starts and they chase me out. lol
