Bucket Full of Sketchbooks Ink

Bucket was on the Scavenger Hunt list.  I have a couple.  One is full of clothespins, not on the list.  When I found the other in my studio it turns out to be full of sketchbooks.

For Scavenger Hunt 148  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-148-feb-7-feb-15.7718/

Number 2 - Painting supplies, I subbed sketchbooks
Number 3 - bucket, small about 8 inches tall

The setup and sketchbook.

After sketching I looked through the books.  I think the first largest one, hardback with cloth cover,  is from my mother-in-law, Frances.  It is still empty of sketches and no notes of gift or date.  The next partly used with brown cardboard cover with snap and has sketches from 2016-18.  Guess it was in my purse and still has blank pages.  The next is unopened, a nice Masters Touch hardback sketchbook.

The next was a surprise, turns out it is a crossword puzzle book.  I'm on #18 out of 75.  Don't remember it and no clue as date or where it came from.  Next was another of the cardboard ones with snap, unopened still in cellophane.  And the last has a drawing of a South American weaver and rug on it, unused and says Suspiro for a brand.  Where did it come from?  Surely I haven't had it since Peru or Bolivia unused.  Sigh...

This calls for a re-post of this saying from Arroyo's Restaurant in Austin. (you can search online for more.)  It really is more applicable for yesterday.  I did nothing.

  1. I know I have a lot of started sketchbooks around too. Some are old and have sketches from way back. I never thought of keeping them in a bucket. lol

  2. Ha, Joan. I guess the bucket was a good idea except I forgot all about them on a low shelf out of sight. Sigh.....
