I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States.
This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Awnings in Ink
I did a plein air sketch while Gene was in PT Solutions today. Sat on the bricks around the pillars.
Number 1 awning - Sketched the flat roof type awnings on the building. Out of whack. I pulled the end to the right, I couldn't see that much of the windows and doors. Interesting to try. I think I sketched the same view before. If I find it I will post it.

I deleted instead of posting Joan's comment. Thanks, Joan. Awnings sure dress up a place or house. We have never had any but did have outside shutters on a house in Santiago, Chile, called persianas. They rolled up sort of like slatted shades. Sure kept out the cold and heat.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Comments are much appreciated. :) I will be moderating comments for a while to see how that works. You won't see your comments until I read them. Better than you getting spam stuff. Thanks for your patience.
