The "K" list included koala and the "bear" fact is that this is as close as I can get to one -- a stuffed Teddy Bear. I've sketched most of my stuffed animals so this may well be a repeat. Some of the "K" words are not in our world.

Number 3, koala - a stuffed Teddy Bear done in pastels on the re-used paper. I left the color of the paper when wiped off so you see it is pretty gray now.
I was looking around on wetcanvas.com in the Plein Air Forum. The artists were asked how they keep clean when painting out in the wind and weather with oil paints. Most decided you wear old clothes and use lots of paper towels and rags and be prepared to get into the paint. Ken Knight in Australia was a suggested artist to check out that was a bit messy but created good paintings. This is a fun video and I like his artwork. Hope you have time to check it out. The video is about 9 minutes and his website has beautiful paintings.

I never bother with trying to stay clean when painting lol
ReplyDeleteJennifer Rose, I'm pretty messy and think comfort is more important than clean. With pastels you can just wash stuff. Oil paint and acrylic requires old clothes for me!
