About 10 p.m. I decided to get away from TV and sketch. I looked through some photos to find some more feet for the February prompts: ocean, feet, and top. I found a photo of David. He was standing on a rock taking photos of the rest of the bunch that were water rafting in Taos a few years ago. I cropped off his feet and there you go.
This is on the wiped off blue paper again. I sketched with a variety of soft pastels. It was about an hour from wipe off to finish. I see things I would change, but an hour is pretty long at this time of night.
I left the dirty paper showing and didn't fiddle with it. Fun to play in the dust!
Wonderful coloring on those jeans!!
ReplyDeleteThose are some good feet. The jeans are my favorite, though.
ReplyDeleteJoan, thanks. I found different feet I liked but I liked the challenge of the blue on the jeans.
ReplyDeletebag blog, thank you. Cloth and drapery are a challenge. My great teacher in La Paz, Yolanda Aguirre, told me for transparent things, and anything really, to just paint the light and dark and don't worry about what it is. When I really concentrate on that it is always a fun surprise to see what actually comes out from that.
Good work Jo
ReplyDeleteashock, thanks. Sometimes painting/sketching is easy....and fun. This one was.
