Still Left Sketches

The left leaning Scavenger Hunt is still on.  We sat out on the porch this morning for the first time in quite a while.  Gene cover's the furniture and takes up the rugs because of the pollen.  It is gone now and so is the cold weather ... maybe!  It was lovely out even if a bit cloudy with a cool breeze and about 70 degrees.

Number 8, left knee - Gene's knee and a hand for the challenge.  I like the way Gene types with his pinkies out, evidently he doesn't use them in touch typing.  It looks more like a thumb in the sketch, sigh...

Number 9, abandoned - well for the moment.  Some brush and wood that Gene will burn.  It has been too cold and windy when he has had the time.  The flowers and grass are taking it over.

The Longhorns played Lamar last night and won.   Lamar is a small college from Beaumont, Texas.  It was such a nice evening and after the game the little kids got to go on the field and run the bases.  They get very excited.

Tomorrow is the Paint Out starting in La Grange. (See previous posts for info) Gonna be a long three days.  Wish me luck.  I'll be back to post when I can.

Maybe I will see you out there or at the reception on Saturday evening at the Lost Pines Art Center in Bastrop at 5:30 p.m.

  1. when I first saw the photos of the kids in the field my first thought was someone's going to get wacked by a ball lol or are the kids rioting because their fave team lost? :p

  2. Jennifer Rose, the kids have a blast running around and playing catch. Last year they would play the song, "Who Let the Dogs Out" which added some humor for the audience. Usually do it on Sunday afternoons, but did it after the night game. I posted better photos a year or so ago.
