Leftovers Sketch

After painting yesterday the big sketchbook was calling.  It is still less than half finished.  I will keep at it.  It's a bit of a  problem when you sketch ordinary things as we do not have an unlimited amount of "things", so there are duplicates showing up on the pages.  That should not be a concern as each view or sketch is still different.  Still, I don't want a lot of repeats even though drawing or painting something over and over is great practice.

I sketched with the Prismacolor 03 fine line marker/pen.  It has a good feel to it ... no skipping or dripping and doesn't soak into the paper and show through to the other side.

Number 6 leftovers - deep fried Portabello mushrooms, interesting but will not order again.  The mushroom was soft and the batter was crispy and too salty.  Don't know why I brought them home, maybe to sketch.  The challenge of a hand a day to finish the page.

Number 7 left handed scissors - I'm not sure about these kitchen shears but they do not cut well if you don't hold them just right, so I'm thinking they are for either hand and you turn them over to use the other hand.  The pen is there for size, I did not draw that.  Really.  And, another hand for the challenge.
