It is rainy and gloomy. It is not very cold, about 60 degrees F, but seems very wintery. We've been watching a PBS mystery. I got out the watercolor sketchbook for a sketch of a work horse for the Southwest/Western Forum on wetcanvas. I was going to do it in watercolor but didn't want to have to think while I watched TV. Would have been good practice I am sure.
About 9 x 12 from Kay's photos on the December Challenge on the SW/W forum. http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1457727 Prismacolor 005 fine line marker/pen. I love horses or have I said that before?
Yesterday I sketched at the doctor's office. Check up for Gene in San Marcos.

Wow! Your workhorse is great. Who knew you were a western artist? Well, I did know that, but drawing horses is difficult. It doesn't need the watercolor.
ReplyDeleteI Hope Gene is doing well and all is going according to plan.
Wow! Jo!!!!! This is horse is OUTSTANDING!!! Love him....
ReplyDeleteBag Blog, thanks so much. Drawing from photos is a bit hard for me, but in this case worked out pretty well. Gene is on schedule and if all goes as well as the first part, he is in good shape.
ReplyDeleteNice job on the horse!! I like your sketches below from Smithville too. I remember the town from the movie. Are there gingerbread men all over the town?
ReplyDeletehmuxo, thank you so much. I think your horse inspired me!
ReplyDeleteJoan, thanks. There are gingerbread men all over town which isn't all that big. They were lit up tonight and look better. Some are not painted in the holiday spirit. We went for burgers for dinner.
