Unlikely Hunting

Scavenger Hunt 559 is well underway, now.

I substituted "unlikely wine" for "unlikely candy".   I've had chocolates with chile or other spice in them, but did not have any on hand.  I only buy candy that Gene or I like, so no other unlikely candy on hand either.

The Hatch chile wine seemed a good substitute.  Roger bought it for us.  I'm not sure when we will try it.  I'm pretty sure it will be good.  You can't go wrong with New Mexico chile.

I dug out the big sketchbook yesterday, but didn't sketch until today.  I used a Prismacolor fine line marker/pen 03 and colored pencils.  I'm very much out of practice so it took time to sketch and then forever to color.  Boring.... no patience for coloring.  The bottles are the same size in real life.  Sigh....

Number 2, unlikely candy - substituted unlikely wine.

This beautiful purple sage was at a rest area on the way home the other day.  I took the photo for Jennie.  She is looking for plants that are sturdy and heat loving.  Sage is great and it blooms when it's going to rain.

  1. Nice substitution. Since I'm traveling and sketching so much I am not keeping up with the hunt. There were too many odd items for my brain to handle. lol I love the photo of the sage...looks so pretty!

  2. Jennifer, we haven't opened the wine yet. I suspect it has a bite to it, probably not too "hot" though. Will let you know!

  3. Joan, thanks. I don't know how you keep track of all your sketches. I've thought of more sketches for WP's wacky hunt but haven't taken the time yet. You are having a good Inktober.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Comments are much appreciated. :) I will be moderating comments for a while to see how that works. You won't see your comments until I read them. Better than you getting spam stuff. Thanks for your patience.
