Happy belated Canada Day to my friends and readers north of the border! It was on my mind all day on Saturday, June 30, and then on Sunday, July 1, I completely forgot. Drat.... I hope it was a very special day.
We were out to music on Saturday. I wanted to focus on our friends playing and listening to the great music so sketching was out. I did take the sketchbook with me! We went to see George Ensle and Greg Whitfield at the Saxon Pub in Austin. We stopped for gas in Bastrop on the way through to go to The Bugle Boy in La Grange to see Teri Hendrix and Lloyd Maines. Excellent shows full of energy and fun. It was a long day from 1:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. or so and about 140 miles. A good day...
I sketched at the gas station in the travel book with a Micron 01 when we stopped for gasoline en route to La Grange. Number 4, downtown.
We went to breakfast at the Texas Grill early Sunday and I used the same book and pen.
Number 5, people.
Today it was the big coffee table book with a Prismacolor 01. Number 6, lollipop - sub candy and Number 7, honey - a quart size. (Numbered wrong as you see, sigh....)
Honey was one of my favorite songs. Bobby Goldsboro was a fun singer. We saw him sing that and Little Green Apples in Las Vegas. Nice memories. Still have those songs in my iTunes. Joanna may have the album. She took our albums to Austin so they weren't in the fire of 2011.
We are getting ready for Joanna's birthday on Wednesday and Independence Day. Still not much progress on our packing for New Mexico. Better get with it....

hmm yeah might be a good idea to start packing :)
ReplyDeleteJennifer Rose, I'm finally starting. It is Sunday July 8, big countdown....
