We Are Cool and Hunting

We arrived in Angel Fire on the eleventh of July so guess this is a good place to restart posting.  The temperatures  at home in Bastrop were in the high nineties and also in Rodeo, New Mexico, for the family reunion.  Not as bad as some years, eh?

It is nice to be here with temps in the mid seventies in the afternoon and about fifty in the mornings.  We have a nice house and will be comfortable here.

Almost to Angel Fire, you can see some ski runs above the lodge.

 The House as we unloaded.

The street East

The street West

Artsy faces on the trees out front made from ceramic.

We have been on the road and I was not sketching.  I started a few at the family reunion, but too much going on with 35 - 42 people around.  We had a good time, more about that later.

I sketched for Scavenger Hunt 365 at home but never got this posted.

Number 2, something growing and Number 3, where I sketch

For Scavenger Hunt 366, aw, missed that one!

For Scavenger Hunt 367, http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?p=20147504#post20147504  Number 1, powder, sprinkles - cinnamon bought for the birthday cakes at the reunion.  Number 2, nature - out the window when having coffee.  Can't put my feet up on the porch yet as it was 50 degrees this morning.  :)

Thanks for coming back after I was "off" for a couple of weeks.

  2. Joan, thank you so much. We had fog yesterday morning and it is cloudy today. Hope to go for a walk soon.

  3. It looks wonderful there. Enjoy the pretty scenery and cooler weather. We don't have either one here now. It is all brown now--practically overnight. Walking outside it is like walking on corn flakes. Crunchy!
    Take care,

  4. Judi, Hi there and thanks for commenting. After we left Joanna checked the rain gauge at the house and we got a few tenths of an inch. It is sad that it is soooo dry. Dangerous, too. We are in the rainy season here and the rain is much needed. Already a few fires in New Mexico. Will be thinking of you and the heat! Evil grin.....

  5. I didn't realize you were getting a house this year. Very nice! Should we bring the golf clubs?

  6. Bag Blog, the house is very comfortable. We brought our small bag (Sunday Bag) of clubs but haven't played in 2 years. Gene has been out on his trike.

  8. Joanna, the house is very comfortable and has most of what we need. The porch is great but with bears and raccoons we can't leave anything out there. There are rocking chairs to use on the porch and we brought lawn chairs. Just have to take them in and out!
