Besides the price, there is the pollution of the empties tossed onto the side of the road.

But that is another story....:)Jo Castillohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00411430042547033972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29792638.post-21868919092425814162008-02-12T07:43:00.000-06:002008-02-12T07:43:00.000-06:00When I buy a Diet Pepsi, I consider that I am payi...When I buy a Diet Pepsi, I consider that I am paying $1.50 for a few ounces of cola that took hardly anything to make and distribute and I rarely complain. When I buy gasoline, I consider all that it took to get it out of the ground, made into usable energy, and distributed. Then I consider how much of the price of gasoline is taxes that I am paying to pave our roads, etc. I also consider how many people are employed to do all of this and how expensive gasloline is in other countries (and has been for a long time). Then I don't think we pay too much and I don't worry about what oil companies profit. And if it does bother you that oil companies make too much money, try moving to a communist country where they monitor such stuff. Why don't we complain about how much movie-makers, Hollywood stars, writer, etc. profit?

I think Jo's link is very interesting and well worth considering.Bag Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01885412195900280096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29792638.post-71279157572137605342008-02-10T20:06:00.000-06:002008-02-10T20:06:00.000-06:00I think it is incredible that just the one company...I think it is incredible that just the one company pays more taxes than the bottom half of private citizens.
