They had huge yellow squash that was mostly green on the outside. For Halloween we could have pretty darn big jack-o-lanterns! Big ones were between 2 and three feet tall. :) We raised our turkeys one year as they didn't bring any in. You could get them in Cochabamba which was a days drive from La Paz, so Gene got a couple of young ones and we fattened them up for Thanksgiving. I don't remember what the white squash was in the painting, but it wasn't that bright. I don't have a good photo to find out. The painting is long gone.Jo Castillohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00411430042547033972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29792638.post-65550577898272453672016-10-10T20:03:15.703-05:002016-10-10T20:03:15.703-05:00A good Thanksgiving painting! It was kind of boring. We used Jesse's compost pile in our little raised-bed garden. Surprisingly, acorn squash sprung up all over the garden choking most everything else out. At first, I thought it was funny, then it got old, and now I think I hate acorn squash. Bag Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01885412195900280096noreply@blogger.com
