Plein Air Sketch

I sketched outside, plein air,  this morning while Gene was in physical therapy.  I had the day off.  It was starting to get pretty warm but I sat in the shade on the foundation of the post holding up the awning of the buildings on the other side of the patio.  There is the one lone umbrella but several tables that I left out.

I glanced at my list and somehow thought that "umbrella" was my "U" word and "L" was "lamppost".  Well it wasn't.  I adapted the sketch to fit the list.

Number 3 Free Space (umbrella?) and Number 4 Tree (lamppost?)

This sketch is in the Canson Mixed Media large sketchbook, 1/2 page.  I used Ohuhu pens and waterbrushes and watercolors.

  1. It's always good to see your sketches - all is right in the world. I haven't been on my computer in a while, but Toby is out mowing, and I am finished in the pottery room. Quiet time.

    1. Ah, lovely to see you , bag blog. I know the feeling about being at the computer. Happy you got some quiet time. I get mine in the morning before Gene gets up and now after he goes to bed. Yay. Hi to Toby from both of us.
