We went out for the day yesterday. We went to Schulenberg, Texas, for the songwriterserenade.com competition. It was a beautiful day. We saw Joanna, some old friends, and listened to some new tunes. There were about 15 contestants from all over the country. Brittany Ann Tranbaugh from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, won. Joanna's friend, Ashley Monical, came in second.
It was a beautiful day and nice to sit outside under a roof and relax. They had food, and drinks. There were T-shirts and music for sale. We left early but had a nice time.
I sketched a little off to the side and forward toward the stage.

The Longhorns lost to Arkansas again so were swept in the weekend. The Horns "were" number 1 in the country. First weekend series they have lost since joining the SEC, Southeastern Conference. Only two more weekends of regular baseball then the SEC tournament and the Regionals, Super Regionals and College World Series in Omaha. Hook 'em Horns!
