Poison Oak Sketch

The Hunt had leaf or leaves on the list.  I thought of the leaves by the wheelbarrows, pretty shape.  Well, the pretty shape is poison oak.  I sketched from a distance.  We need to cut that down, eh?

Another item was camera.  I had to dig in the drawers of my desk to find the old point and shoot camera.  I didn't take enough care to get the shapes right.  Another time perhaps.

For Scavenger Hunt 116  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-116-may-27-june-4.6890/

Sketched in the Ohuhu sketchbook with Micron 03 and colored with watercolor.  I added some color to yesterday's sketch since it was in the mix media sketchbook.

Number 2 camera

Number 3 leaves

  1. I like the updated colorful look of the other sketches. Nice work on the camera. Mine occupies a similar place here. I haven't used it in a long time. I don't think I took out the batteries, and I hope they didn't leak.

  2. Ah Jo the poison oak made me smile...we have so much of it growing here as well as poison ivy. I am thankful to say that for some reason have become immune to it. In fact am able to pull it out by its roots.

Thank you too for your condolences. It is always sad when we lose someone we love in this life. Take care and have a great weekend. Hugs

  3. Thanks, Joan. I did take out the batteries. They were almost new, a special $25 or so battery. Sigh.... Guess I can give them to Larry for his camera collection as a photographer.

  5. Debbie, thanks and you are welcome. Now you mention it, I think Gene is pretty immune to the poison plants, too.

  7. Joan, hi, sorry I didn't post your comment. It was fun to find the camera, I did take the battery out. I had two brand new ones. :-( Thanks on my sketches.
