New Hunt 590 Sketch

Oh my, the day is gorgeous.  We sat on the porch and I sketched with ArtRage on my iPad with the Apple Pencil.

Number 1, tree bark

This pine tree is by Gene's shed.  There is lots going on in the background as it faces the neighbor's yard. 

I just used the "paint roller" tool for the background.  No real sketching involved in that.  I used the "pastel" stick for the bark of the tree.  I have not used layers before, but the background is one layer and the tree is the top layer.  Interesting for sure.  Too time consuming for sketching.  This took about 45 minutes.  Imagine how long a very detailed painting would take.

    yes, digital painting can take longer sometimes than just grabbing the physical supplies
