The iPad was my tool of choice today. The Honeybees were here cleaning so I sat on the porch with my iPad to sketch. I used Brushes, my fingers and the Apple Pencil. The sketch took over an hour. Something this simple in Pastels would be about 15-30 minutes. I try not to use the "undo" feature very much to keep it sketch like. Imagine how long it would take to do a fine drawing. Not my thing.

Number 3, July, a summer or winter item as the case may be in your part of the world - our green world in the summer. I stretched the color a bit. It all looks much greener out back.
Posting this with the scheduler. We will be at the hospital. Gene is having his second DBS surgery for his right side. Hope it is as successful as the left side. More later....

hope the surgery goes well!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Bevie, I'll follow you back on Instagram.
ReplyDeleteTrusting all is good with Gene?
ReplyDeleteI love this sketch - and that you did it on the iPad just blows me away. I have the large i-pad but do not yet have the Apple pencil. I have a couple of apps but haven't really gotten into using it as a sketch pad. You inspire me! (to spend money for the pencil Ha!
Rosemary, Gene is good so far. More tired this time but doing OK.
ReplyDeleteI've been sketching on my iPhone for several years before I had an iPad so I'm used to using my fingers. I usually stretch the image to put in any detail. The Apple Pencil is nice, too, but took some getting used to. I can make better straight lines with it, but prefer my fingers still. I probably wouldn't have bought one, my daughter gave me her hand-me-down one when she upgraded. I don't use "layers" and other aids. I'm not one to do a fine drawing, just sketch for fun.
