Hunt 580 Continues

I sketched for Scavenger Hunt 580
http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1463237
in the big book while I reviewed the baseball game on TV that I had listened to the night before.  You can tell from the sketching that I might have sluffed off a bit with attention on the TV.

Number 11, smooth - the coasters have glass over the paintings.  Not really good for coasters, but look pretty.
Number 12, flute - the little pottery flute burned in the fire of 2011 so is very plain terracotta  as the decorations burned off.
Number 13, nail - fingernails

And, our little patch of bluebonnets by the mailbox.  There is an improvement over last year.  Hopefully they will keep on growing.

  1. Sketching in front of the tv is something I do too. Usually the tv takes the back seat and I can barely follow what is happening. lol Nice that your flute is still around after the fire. Good job!

  2. Love the little flute sketch and tha gentle way your hand is holding it. Bluebonnets are a sure sign you will see spring soon.

  3. Joan, thanks. I don't know what was so fascinating about the game, I had heard it the night before. Maybe just seeing if the images matched my imagination .... College baseball is so exciting .. things change quickly. Yesterday the Longhorns were ahead 8 - 1 in the 7th or 8th inning and lost 12 - 8 to TCU. Crazy. I didn't watch that over!!

Hey, Joe! (I like saying that, old country song.) Thank you. The bluebonnets are a sure sign of spring, they are out for the Texas Relays and we used to have a friend come to the relays and his wife would come to see and paint the bluebonnets. She was an abstract painter so I only saw blue and green in her work - no flowers, but anyway it was fun to do that.

  6. depending on the flutes surface you could probably use acrylics to paint something on it :)

  7. Jennifer Rose, if our great grandkids come see us that would be good for them to do! Thanks for the idea.
