Southwest Sketch

I’m hosting the Southwest challenge this month.  I don’t have any snow photos to put up so Jenna, in Wisconsin, put one.  I sketched from it on my iPad with the Apple Pencil.

We did see snow yesterday on our drive but far in the distance.  We saw Sierra Blanca near Ruidoso, New Mexico,  very splendid with its snow cover.  Then far in the distance we could see Mt. Taylor by Grants.  Then Baldy by Magdalena has snow, too.  It is a chilly 18° here in Socorro this morning but dry and the sun will shine.

Have to have a photo of the Ladrones

Sierra Blanca

  4. Bag Blog, thanks. Pretty easy when you don’t have straight lines and it doesn’t have to look like anyone.

  5. Love the view with the snow in the distance. We had a bit but nothing to get excited about. Have fun!

  6. Joan, thanks. The mountains were beautiful, wish we had been closer. Would have been fun to paint.

  7. Thank you, Joanna. Snow is fun to paint. Well, any white thing is interesting as you rarely use any white. It looks white but is light blue, light purple and pink. :-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Comments are much appreciated. :) I will be moderating comments for a while to see how that works. You won't see your comments until I read them. Better than you getting spam stuff. Thanks for your patience.
