I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

For the Procrastinator in Us
This article, Organizational Skills for Artists, by Luann Udell, was in the FASO newsletter today. It is way too close to the way I operate. Reminds me of Bag Blog, too. Maybe we aren't quite as unorganized as the article. I think hope it is tongue in cheek.

I hate to say it, but that sounds very much like one of my days. I even find that I am more clumsy these days - knocking things over. And I spend half my time looking for what I just put down. Last week I had a massage scheduled for 11:30. I thought I had all the time in the world to run my errands and get to it. While sitting and having coffee with Lindz, my massage friend called to see if I had forgotten my appointment. It was at 11:00. Good Grief! Last week I dropped by the CTAC to pick up a prospectus for the upcoming art show. The CTAC director said, "Oh, you are early for the meeting today." Meeting today??? I thought it was the next day. And how about getting ready for my teaching project...well, it isn't until next week....
ReplyDeleteBag Blog, yep, we are alike. It must be age, too. We used to get up in the a.m. and take about 30 minutes to get ready to leave about 8. Now we get up early to leave at 10 and have to call the front desk at 11 to ask for a few more minutes. Gene, especially, was always on time. He takes an hour to get ready now. I guess that is what 3/4 of a century does to us. Ha.
