I sketched in the big book with a Prismacolor 03 yesterday down in the garage. This morning I added the moth with a Pilot ball point pen which seems to be called a biro. A new word for me.

Number 6 gear shift - The gear shift in the Expedition and a bonus of one of the gear shifts on Gene's Catrike.
Number 7, litter/trash - the can in the garage
Number 8, moth - one that I saw in the bathroom and when I was getting ready to sketch it, Gene said he had smooshed it. So sketched a moth that is not alive, but not as smashed as I thought it was going to be.
We went to dinner in Eagle Nest at the Calamity Jane's again. It is pretty good. That is the restaurant that told us to call ahead to make sure they had food. They will close after Labor Day until ski season starts.
We were planning on going to Cimarron to dinner, but as we drove by the Calamity Jane's we decided why drive to Cimarron when we could eat there. Only 12 miles from home instead of 36 that takes 50 minutes because of he windy road.
In Eagle Nest looking toward Cimarron. I like all the flags.
Enchanted Eagle Park across from the Restaurant. Interesting eagle fountain.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

I'd go for the closer restaurant too...especially if they will be temporarily closing soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joan. Eating out in a small town is always interesting.
