Pastel Sketch for Hunt 546

Pastels spoke to me this morning for my sketch of the day.  I wiped off the 'bottom of my shoe' sketch and worked on the recycled paper.

Number 2, pencil - pastel pencil
Number 3, pen - Pilot Ink Pen
Number 4, spiral book/ notebook - my watercolor sketchbook.  It is more of a rectagle shape than this.

The forecast is rainy and cloudy for the next few days.  We have had over .5 inches since midnight.  Still drizzling. 

Some of the artists have been working in direct watercolor sketching without drawing with a pencil or pen.  Tempting to try.  I have so little experience in regular watercolor painting.  Maybe I will try it later.  I do have a suitable sketchbook, right?

    you should try watercolour without a pencil, can be fun to see what happens :)

    Jennifer Rose, yep. There has been a challenge going around for direct watercolor sketching and it is tempting. Will try it in New Mexico, right?
