Hunting in Ink and Color

My morning walk around our lake is about a mile and usually takes me about thirty minutes.  Today I took my travel sketchbook, medium size and the Micron 01 pen/marker.  I sketched the roof while standing up.  I took advantage of a new bench, sat and drew the landscape.  Then I sat at the new table and drew one of the benches from there.

Number 1, roof - a new house down the road
Number 2, local landscape - across the field and road by the western lake

Number 3, made of wood - the seat and back of the bench

Gene went for his trike ride for over an hour.  When he got back I asked him to pose for me.  He is great about that.  We settled down in my studio, listening to a book we started on our trip.  I sketched with the pastels for about an hour on a reused Pastelbord, 11 x 14 inches.  Gene was falling asleep so he went for a nap and I quit sketching.  Not perfect but I did get out my pastels!!

Number 4, headgear
Number 5, face with glasses
