Sketch #2 for Hunt 314

Sunday morning, I went out on the porch to read the paper (on my iPad) and ended up sketching.  I remembered there was a hanging basket on the list for Scavenger Hunt 314.  I love geraniums so decided to sketch instead of read.  I spent about 20 - 30 minutes on this with the Brushes program.  The plant has a Bewick's Wren nest in it.  I added the bird although I didn't see it at the time.  The wrens usually build nests near the ground or in secluded spots.  Hmmm.  The birds are cute and very noisy.

Number 2, hanging basket

Working out my funk, by sketching, as you can see.  Part of the other "work" that I did is go ahead and sign up for the pastel workshop in September.  I talked Lou, Bag Blog, into taking it, too.  Didn't take much persuading.  Our spouses get along well, so they can entertain each other while we paint and have fun.

I have posted a few times about the teacher, Tom Christopher.  I "chat" with him on wetcanvas.com and on our blogs.  Here is a link to his blog http://landscapesbychristopher.blogspot.com/,
a link to his website, http://tomchristopherartist.com/
and a link to my other posts about him  http://jocastilloartblog.blogspot.com/search?q=tom+christopher

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Comments are much appreciated. :) I will be moderating comments for a while to see how that works. You won't see your comments until I read them. Better than you getting spam stuff. Thanks for your patience.
