Interesting Web-Browsing

I've been remiss on reading my favorite blogs and posting links.  Too much going on in my world, so tonight I'm catching up, well a little.  These are some that you might like.  Smile...

For the science fiction and digital manipulation of photo crowd, check "Art and Influence" by Armand Cabrera's post of "And Now for Something Completely Different".  Interesting and he explains how to do it.

If you have been wondering how to schedule posts for a later date, it is explained here on Empty Easel. (This is not really a smile, but helpful.)

Kelly Borsheim has a post that will make you say "Ouch" for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Sorry I'm a little late, too.

And a painter, Elenka, that has lovely paintings and a great sense of humor. (You will like this, Joanna.)

It is a bit later and I have to add Kristopher Battles to the list.  He is a Marine Corps artist and is doing some amazing sculpture work.  So cool.  Scroll on down his blog to see what he is doing.  Working with a lathe to add to his sculpture.

Jo's 2011 Art Calendar

I finished my calendar and ordered it to see how it is.  It looks very good.  If you would like to buy it for a present, here you go.  It is about 7 inches square, booklet or hardcover. The paper is very nice.   It has some of my favorite and recent paintings.  I will have one at my Studio & Gallery if you would like to see it in person.

Are You an Artist?

We all struggle with that question .. or don't we?  Is it only me?  I have doubts at times and maybe you do to.  To answer this question check out my Fine Art Friend, Kasie Salee's blog post and go from there.  Kasie is talking about Art Every Day and she has a link to Messy Canvas and a free inspirational book.  It made me smile.  Have fun.  Thanks, Kasie!!

Vermilion Cliffs, Oil 20 x 16 inches     An old painting with very bad color in this photo.  The middle distance hills are red.  Hmmm.
