I am a painter working in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and forty-nine of our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art and a little about golf and UT Baseball.

Cowboy Artist
Santa brought me a new calendar for 2010 in my stocking. This year it has paintings by a wonderful cowboy artist, Tim Cox. He was born in Arizona and now lives in New Mexico. I like his work very much. He has a great eye for enough detail without making his work photo realistic. He has a knowledge of ranching and equipment that make his paintings ring true. His skill at drawing horses and people is excellent. Have a look, I think you will agree. A New Mexico cowboy friend, Roland, brought his art to my attention. Thanks, Roland.

Those are some nice paintings. I think I want to be a cowboy artistist too.
Hi Bag Blog, I am enjoying the calendar. I would like to be the cowboy, forget the artist. I'm too old to get on the horse now. Shucks. Well, maybe not too old but too crickety and fat. Sigh.... My Dad worked as a cowboy until he was eighty!
WOW! His work is beautiful! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Hi Valerie, thanks for looking. You are right beautiful.
