Sketching Again, Pen and Ink
I haven't done much art yet on our trip. I did sketch at the motel in Magdalena at several different times. I need to get in the groove for the Scavenger Hunts as I am the host on July 24. I will be ready, whether we have high speed internet or not. I will need patience if we don't. You folks know how much patience I have! These are in the 7 x 10 inch sketchbook with a Micron 05 pen, freehand.
I sketched the corner of our room on arrival July 5. They are nice kitchenettes at the Eagle Nest in Magdalena. There was a spare rollaway and the satellite TV.
Hopefully I am back in the mood now and will be posting regularly again. You will love the scenery from this northern New Mexico ski town in the beautiful mountains.

Jo, so glad to get your updates! Been missing you. Great to see Peppers and your work there, thanks for sharing it!
Thank you, Rose! I am happy to be back. I miss you, too. :)
I've been missing you too. Toby wanted me to remind you of the golf course - Escondito. Enjoy the cool mountain air.
Hi Bag Blog, thank you. We did go play golf there. We only played six holes, we were not yet acclimated to the altitude (good excuse for playing poorly) and it was our first outing. It was fun. They have a pretty good deal for twilight play here at the resort so will play here, too.
Glad you're sketching to be ready for your turn. The show at Pepper's below looks wonderful!!! You've got a lot of great work there.
Joan, thanks. It is always fun to see all the paintings hung together. I hope to get to the Hunts tonight or tomorrow. I don't have patience, as you know, for just sitting here. See you soon on wetcanvas.
Your sketches are looking good, Jo - I especially like the one off the front step. And what great clouds behind those mountains!!
Thanks, Regina. I thought you would like the clouds, I always think of you when I see great clouds. :)
