Hey, I forgot to add a blog I read to the bottom of my last post. I will give you a link to a post on Valerie Jones' blog. Valerie is one of my Fine Art Friends that are sort of a boosters club. She is a wonderful artist and great person.
She offers a lesson in how to draw/paint lips in colored pencil. It will apply to any medium I think. Have a look and see how Valerie shares her expertise. She has some valuable info in her blog, The Artist Within.
Addition about an hour later.... I should have waited. My friend, Kelly Borsheim, sculptor, has been in Italy studying and painting and sculpting for the last couple of years. She is amazing!! She and other are painting with chalk on the streets, doing amazing work in the style of the masters. Take a look at that on her blog and then go to Kelly's web site and look at her sculptures. She is another dedicated and hard working artist. She writes well and shares a lot of her information.
I am a painter working in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and forty-nine of our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art and a little about golf and UT Baseball.

Hi Jo!
I'm back and playing blog catch up (which I do frequently with my lovely TurtleNet connection). Had a wonderful vacation... my head and heart are still in Ocracoke...trying to make myself buckle down !:-)
Thanks for the nice blog comments... always a great pleasure to have you visit!
Thanks for the nice comments, Jo!
Jo, do you mind giving a shout-out to my daughter's blog? She turns 27 tomorrow, June 4th, and I would like as many people to stop by her blog as possible and leave comments on her photography - it will definitely surprise her. www.skybag.blogspot.com
Bag Blog, sure thing!
Hi Teresa, I love when you stop by. It is hard to get back into the routine. We had very slow internet in Oklahoma City at the hotel and I am sorry I have so much junk on my page to slow you down more. I am thinking of how to change it without loosing all the perks. :) I'm thinking......
Valerie, It is easy to compliment a wonderful artist and friend. :)
